First of all, I would like to thank my school(Tech.C) first this wonderful opportunity! Today I got to meet Keiji Inafune. The graphic/character designer of Mega Man and Street Fighter! Producer of many games, like Resident Evil series,Onimusha ,Lost Planet series, Dead Raising and many more! His most recent games would be Soul Sacrifice, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z and Asura’s Wrath and more! As most of you know, E3 just finished and after that Keiji Inafune decided to come to my school!
Before I got todays lecture with Keiji Inafune I thought it would a lot of harsh words about how hard is to make it into the game creating world. Which is really hard! Instead Keiji Inafune thought me how to have fun and what I should think about while creating game art. This is actually my first time I’m meeting someone who is famous this close and not only that, also to be taught what he learned in his life. I can’t put everything into words here, Keiji Inafune is just so much! He is amazing and fun, I respect him a lot!
This is all I can put into words. I know it is so much more that I could tell about Keiji Inafune but I would be able to express those feelings I had during his lecture. It was something that can only go through to someone like me.
Last week I signed up for a presentation by Epic Games Japan. It was interesting, a lot of information so I won’t be telling to much about it. The reason I went to this presentation is because next year we will start to have classes with Game Engines and of course we are going to work with Unreal Engine. Which I’m pretty excited about. I’ve seen Epic Games being credited in several games like Gears of War, Mass Effect and many others, but that is not all. Recently I saw Iron Man 3 and I found out that Epic Games’s software have been credited there as well. Looked up more about it and it seems that scenes in Avengers movie have been used with this software.
Next year my studies with Unreal Engine will start and by that time Unreal Engine 4 should have been released for independent developers. This image below is an example of what can be done with it. Link to there video is below the picture of you are interested. Sometime in the future, I hope I can do something like this.
This is my new production and progress homepage. It works as a blog, but I made it look a bit more like a website. This site will contain my personal experience with the great 3DCG world. My purpose with this is to show you what I do as a growing 3DCG artist/student. I just entered Tokyo Design Technology Center(link here; Tech.C) and there is so much I’m looking forward too. There is going to be events such as Tokyo Game Show and much more which Id like to document here.
What more will I do with this website?
I’ll upload my personal projects in inside page of the Personal Progress menu. If I work on something for just training which I learn by myself, from my school or any other online learning services. Under the menu Production I’ll try to keep work that I think is worth putting in there. Probably won’t happen any time soon but when I become better as an 3DCG artist!
In the about page you can find my personal information. Contact information can be found there as well as other my other communities can be found at Connect.
My other blog can be found at this link. All of my old posts got transferred to Alexander Helsing World. In this blog I’ll continue to post things that doesn’t concern 3DCG. Here you I’ll continue to write about my personal life in Japan!
